Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search box goes to the third-party provider that serves the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains the details provided in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services produce ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for reliability and readership patterns. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data
The limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, effective July 1, 2024, describes rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out in the circumstances it covers. Because this reference retains very little, a request generally involves reviewing the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing applicable material. Use the Contact page to ask. Texas state, county, and city records are held by their custodians, not by us, so an official-record request must go to the agency that maintains it.
Updates to This Policy
Revisions will appear here. Continuing to use the service after a posted revision means the revised policy applies.
